Today most of the entrepreneurs have a great fear on Marketing. They always seek out marketing companies like us to market their product and expect us to do wonders in Marketing. They trust the marketing companies as a super natural power who can do magic in bringing out potential customers to them. The companies are even ready to pay a lot of money to do marketing. Especially the new start ups who always believe in an overnight growth approaches marketing companies and appoint them to do marketing for them.

What they fail to remember is that the Marketing Companies are even run by ordinary humans. But also, those ordinary humans think extra ordinarily by implementing a basic knowledge of ‘Common Sense’. Why do today’s young entrepreneurs fail to achieve this basic knowledge of ‘Common Sense’ and how to implement this is what we are about to reveal in this article.

Why do we fear Marketing?
Let us all touch the bottom of our heart and answer this question.

Will I be polite in telling my readers that the basic fear is because we are adamantly ‘Lazy’?

The answer is always yes. A million other reasons will be given by today’s start ups, but shouldering such an important responsibility to someone else shall not fetch a reasonable answer to them.

There is a famous saying in Tamil which I have written down in English ‘Marketing is a Dog’s job’!

Today’s people in higher positions show such an attitude towards the marketing professionals where they are not even ready to hear what the Marketing person was there to present to him. The people’s attitude is in such a way that they fail to look at the product or service what the person in front of him puts up. That may even be required for him. But, eventually he starts searching on a later date for the same product or service where he finds the same person in line!

The people’s attitude cannot be changed; this plays a major role in today’s Marketing world.
Secondly, a fear on the product or the concept which they are about to sell.

What will the end customer think about the product?
Is it really worth selling?
Is it really marketable?
But, shouldn’t the above questions be answered before we start the business in the first place?

My Best Tip for an efficient Marketing:

Whatever product or service it may be, firstly it is vital to assess who the customer or client is even before we approach him. His basic need for the product or service should be understood by doing a small research.

Try to answer the following questions by yourself in a reasonable way:
1. Why should the customer buy from me?
2. Why should he choose my product over my competitors?
3. Is the customer capable of paying money to buy the product from me?
4. Why should he listen to my Marketing talks?
5. Is my product worth direct selling or thru’ any other means like social media, online adds, etc?

Imagine, if a marketing person enters your office during working hours and try to sell a service or a product, won’t you be irritated?
Will your potential client feel the same?

Be reasonable, answering the above questions may trigger a basic knowledge on ‘Common sense’ in Marketing.

Happy Marketing!
